Scanning from an eduPrint printer
General information
There are three ways to scan in eduPrint:
- Scan is a simple scan app that has fewer features than the other two, but is easily accessed from the start page. The documents can only be scanned to your own e-mail address. This feature also allows people without a university account to scan.
- The Skanner function allows you to scan documents to e-mail as pdf or image file. When you scan with this app, you can also choose which email address to scan to (other than your own).
- Sharescan is a more advanced scan app with more features than Scan and Skanner that also allows you to scan to folder and the cloud storage solution, Box.net. With Sharescan the documents are scanned as OCR, ie the pdf file becomes searchable and you can copy text from the pdf file and paste into other documents.
