Applications and licences
The department for university-wide IT (University IT Services, UIT) provides software and licences for all users at Uppsala University. The IT charge gives maximum-level users access to the most necessary software via university-wide licensing. The range of software available is continuously updated and is announced below.
UIT can also install and update other applications and licences included in the University's joint supplier agreement, as well as manage and register software licences, via the client management system. Please note that licensing fees will be charged for software that is not included in the IT charge.
NOTE: Operating system (Windows/MacOS) licensing fees are not funded through the IT charge but are handled separately when purchasing a computer (via procured contracts). Additional operating system licences (e.g. for virtual machines) may incur additional charges.

| The framework for the maximum level of the IT charge includes a standard range of software delivered via the UIT client management system. | Through client management, you can manage many programs and licenses yourself. Other software may need to be ordered separately. |
