IT routines and rules

IT routines and rules

Effective and secure use of information technology requires clear guidelines and support for all parties. Uppsala University has a number of IT routines and rules that must be followed. Guidelines established by the Vice-Chancellor or the University Director are listed here but can also be found in the set of goals and regulations.

Rules and routines

Current changes

This applies throughout the University when using digital tools, common systems and other IT solutions.

IT incident reporting

What counts as an IT incident and should be reported? IT incidents that may seriously affect the security of the information management activities for which the authority is responsible, or of the services that the authority provides to another organisation, must be reported.
→ Information and routines for reporting IT incidents

Environmental aspects of procurement of IT products and related products

The University is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact and intends to increase the purchase of environmentally friendly products that take into account the whole life cycle of a product, while increasing the recovery and re-use of IT equipment in order to enable multiple life cycles and ensure good recycling. A number of environmental requirements are therefore imposed on tenderers in the procurement of IT products and related products.

IT glossary

Sometimes you come across words, expressions or abbreviations in the field of IT that you don't understand or want to know more about. To help you find your bearings in the "abbreviations jungle", we have listed a number of terms that appear in guides and on information pages.
