Digital tools for collaboration within and outside UU
The department for university-wide IT (University IT Services, UIT) works to provide easily accessible and modern IT tools to create, share and store common information and collaborate on document management, note-taking, questionnaire surveys and projects. A number of tools are currently offered for collaboration between parties both within and outside Uppsala University. The services are under development and may change.
Collaboration tools
SharePoint – collaboration tool to work on documents simultaneously with colleagues, and to create and edit lists and securely share documents.
Survey tools
Survey&Report – a web-based advanced questionnaire and survey tool that can be used by all employees. The tool is procured by Sunet (Swedish University computer Network).
Kurt – a web-based forms system that is free-of-charge to use for everyone at Uppsala University. You can use it to order and administer course evaluations, questionnaire surveys, self-tests and registrations.
Mentimeter - ask questions during a presentation, allow the students to answer using their smartphones, browsers or other mobile devices. The results are displayed directly on the screen. You can also use Mentimeter to conduct surveys before and after lectures.
Good to know about cloud computing
Cloud computing means that storage, functions, software, computing capacity or similar are provided as services over the Internet. There is often uncertainty around what is appropriate or legal to store on the cloud. Read more about what applies at Uppsala University here.
