Research visit
When individuals visit Uppsala University to engage in research activities without being employed by or a student at the University, we recommend that you draw up a commitment for research visit document (Åtagande för forskningsvistelse-Engelska (8.0.11a)). An individual in this position could be a professor emeritus, a postdoc with external stipend funding, a doctoral student on a temporary research visit to Uppsala University, etc. Different rules, terms and conditions apply to individuals with an employment contract.
Whether a person is employed or not, the head of department/equivalent is responsible for their work environment in accordance with the current division of work environment responsibilities at Uppsala University.
The terms and conditions for the visit are clarified in the commitment for research visit document. This is a basic document that a department/equivalent can supplement depending on the activity in which the visitor is engaged or anything else that requires special clarification.
