Local IT support services have resumed regular opening hours at the various campus areas. IT support is normally available between 08:30 and 16:30 at the locations shown here: Medarbetarportalen/IT-och telefoni/IT-support. GUIDELINES FOR STUDENT INFLUENCE

The Vice-Chancellor has approved Guidelines for Student Influence at Uppsala University (UFV 2019/1792). The guidelines are a governing framework intended to clarify measures to promote student influence, with a focus on student influence exercised through student representation. A guidance document has been adopted in association with the guidelines, giving practical advice and recommendations for departments/equivalent. Further information: Cecilia.Edin@uu.se

ADJUSTED PRICE LIST FOR IT SPECIALISTS

Since its establishment in 2019, University IT Services (UIT) has hired out IT specialists to the entire University as needed. However, the prices for specialist services have not been revised since UIT started its operations. As costs have risen over time, the prices for specialist services in IT have now been adjusted. The new prices apply to services ordered from 15 May 2022 onwards, and to all new or renegotiated contracts after that date. Read more.

REVISED VISUAL IDENTITY FOR GREATER VISIBILITY

Uppsala University’s unique logo, which is also its registered trademark, has not changed, but certain improvements and simplifications of other guidelines have been made to give Uppsala University a more consistent and clearer identity in digital and physical channels. The revised visual identity guidelines have been adopted by the Director of Communications and apply to all parts of the University. Read more about the visual identity. SURVEY: VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT

A national survey has been conducted to gauge the prevalence of gender-based violence and sexual harassment in academia. The results for Uppsala University are roughly in line with the national average in the survey. However, female doctoral students at Uppsala University report a higher degree of bullying than the national average. The survey was carried out by the Research and Collaboration Programme on Gender-based Violence in Academia, which is conducted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet, Malmö University and the Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research at the University of Gothenburg. UPPSALA UNIVERSITY AND PRV COLLECT HISTORICAL PATENTS IN SEARCHABLE DATABASE

All Swedish patents granted from 1746 to 1945 have been digitised and collected in a searchable database – Swedish historical patents (1746–1945) – in a collaboration between the Swedish Intellectual Property Office (PRV) and Uppsala University. The search engine was inaugurated on 20 May by Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt and the Director General of the PRV, Peter Strömbäck. Read more.

PETER WALLENBERG JR NEW HONORARY FELLOW

At the Conferment Ceremony on 25 May celebrating jubilee doctors and new doctoral graduates, Peter Wallenberg Jr was installed as a new honorary fellow. The University’s other honorary fellows are King Carl XVI Gustaf, Emperor Akihito of Japan and Director Anders Wall. It was in March 1990 that the University Board decided to establish a special rank, Honorary Fellow of Uppsala University.
