The purpose of the webinar was to highlight the important aspects to remember when processing personal data in research. Which safeguards are required and which regulations apply? Who is responsible for which aspects and what can be done to reduce the risks facing research staff? What support may researchers need in managing personal data in accordance with the applicable requirements? And who determines what is sensitive personal data?
The webinar was arranged in collaboration with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection and the Ethics Review Appeals Board. Staff from Uppsala University participated as representatives for an entity responsible for research.
