Your working hours
Normal hours for employees working full time:
- 8 hours per day.
- Monday through Friday between 08:00 and 16:30.
Flextime
Flextime can be used, provided this is permitted by the organisation.
There are two types of flextime: flexible working hours and increased flexible working hours (see below). The type that is used varies among divisions, departments and units based on negotiations with the trade union. All employees are required to report flextime, and you must be able to report your flexible working hours balance to your manager or equivalent.
Reporting for working hours and flextime
Flexible working hours for full-time and part-time employees:
- The flextime framework is between 07:00 and 18:00.
- With flextime, you can begin work between 07:00 and 09:00 in the morning and end between 15:30 and 18:00 in the evening.
- You are at work from 09:00 to 11:45 and from 13:15 to 15:30.
- Flex balance: excess hours may not exceed 30 hours and deficit hours may not exceed 10 hours.
- You can use excess flex time for full workday assuming your organization’s operations permit this and after having come to agreement about this with your superior or equivalent.
Increased flexible working hours for full-time and part-time employees:
- The framework for flextime is between 06:30 and 20:00.
- Your flextime can begin between 06:30 and 09:30 in the morning and end between 15:00 and 20:00 in the evening.
- You are at work from 09:30 to 11:45 and from 13:15 to 15:00.
- Flex balance: excess hours may not exceed 80 hours and deficit hours may not exceed 10 hours.
- You can use excess flex time for full workday assuming your organization’s operations permit this and after having come to agreement about this with your superior or equivalent.
Lunch flex:
- Between 11:45 and 13:15.
- 30-minute lunch break
- Time beyond the 30 minutes to which you are entitled becomes deficit time on your flex account.

The schedule for annual working hours is used when calculating the working hours of different weeks when an employee is absent.
