How to identify your transferable skills – Shaping your future workshop, 5 March, 9.00–12.00 (online, in English)
Are you a researcher planning your future career move within or beyond academia? Would you like to know how you can apply your research skills in other areas using your transferable skills? Typically, transferable skills are skills you aquire or learn in one setting that can be applied or translated to new and different settings, environments and activities. Nevertheless, we often fall into the typical trap of seeing our skills as applicable in only one setting and therefore do not recognize that we are qualified for a wide range of career paths. Join this workshop and you will learn: the difference between hard and soft skills, which skills are most highly sought after and transferable, tips on how to reflect your transferable skills when preparing for the transition to your next job. Academic productivity (for post docs) 12 March, 9.00–12.00 (online, in English)
This workshop provides you with a toolbox for increased academic productivity as a post doc. The background to this workshop is that we often focus on the content of our work but sometimes forget to pay attention to our own work process or how we work, think and act. However, the process is central in order to complete our work on time and feel well during the process. More specifically, you will learn three academic productivity tools; the 80/20 principle, end product focus and the unit method, and apply them to your own work situation. Kursledare: Åsa Burman, Finish on Time. Sign up for the seminar on the link below and the heading "Seminars" https://www.timecenter.se/karriarochledning/
