The postponed Spring Conferment Ceremony, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, will not go ahead. The ceremony had been carefully planned in consultation with the regional infection control authorities. It was to be conducted in three rounds in an adapted digital format with only a few people physically present, a reduced orchestra and no audience. The jubilee doctors would not have attended in person.

“Despite this, we have come to the conclusion that we should not hold the ceremony in the current circumstances. Naturally, this is disappointing for everyone who was looking forward to it. We think especially of our jubilee doctors whom we really wanted to celebrate with a fine ceremony,” says Vice-Chancellor Eva Åkesson.
