Problems with travel agency services
For some time now, there have been delays at Lingmerths, the University’s contracted supplier of travel agency services. They are having difficulty recruiting experienced travel bookers, a situation that turns out to be affecting the entire industry. They are now recruiting new staff on an ongoing basis to be able to provide a satisfactory service again.
To facilitate bookings, if you are planning a business trip we recommend that you log in to the self-booking system and order the trip yourself.
Avoid requesting personal service as there are currently long delays.
You can use the self-booking system to book contracted hotels, for example, both in Sweden and abroad, and be invoiced via the system.
For local business travel, we recommend anyone booking a trip to link their private SJ Prio account to the University’s client number. You can also order tickets from other suppliers via SJ’s online service.
We also recommend departments/equivalent to order SL/UL corporate cards for staff to borrow and to have someone in the organisation responsible for administering these cards.
Always avoid private outlays when travelling on business.
