How should Uppsala University face the future?

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Anders Malmberg is heading the revision of the University’s Mission and Core Values. During the autumn and spring, discussions have been held and opinions gathered in a number of different contexts. E.g. in faculty and disciplinary domain boards, at dean meetings and head of department meetings, in the Academic Senate, the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, the Advisory Board for Internationalisation, the Advisory Board for External Collaboration and the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development.

Uppsala University is an international university with an increasing share of international staff, students and PhD students. To collect as many opinions as possible from different perspectives, a meeting will be held in English on the work with the Mission and Core Values. At the meeting, project manager Anders Malmberg will present a draft of the revised Mission and Core Values and specially invited commentators will give their opinions on the document followed by an open discussion.

Invited commentators: Professor Rogier Blokland, Associate Senior Lecturer Ylva Söderfeldt, researcher Christian Benedict, Professor Anna Orlova, Professor Michael Thuné, Senior Lecturer Elin Bergeås Kuutmann and two students.
