Join MAYday for Crisis
The COVID-19 pandemic has threatened human lives, causing economic instability, political confusion and fear. Many people have lost their lives and many economies are struggling.
At the same time, this is a moment of opportunity to come together as a society – not only to find immediate solutions, but also collaborate and learn for the future. Evidence-based research and knowledge plays a crucial role in this process and it is important to make sure it comes to good use.
MAYday for Crisis - collaboration model dealing with crises
The MAYday for Crisis platform is designed to quickly connect both researchers and external parties involved in projects to help society deal with crises, starting with the COVID-19 pandemic. The platform is providing a place to exchange ideas and knowledge as well as supporting research collaborations across disciplines and sectors in times of crisis.
More than 130 researchers from all three disciplinary research domains have joined the platform in addition to many private and public sector stakeholders. More researchers as well as external actors are welcome to participate.
You are invited - join in!
Today, the MAYday for Crisis platform is home to mixed discussion groups in many different thematic areas, such as medicine and healthcare, technological development, social structure and communications and media. A large number of collaborative projects have been created.
Want to join? Feel free to express your interest in joining the MAYday for Crisis platform.
Support for action
The Innovation Partnership Office can support the start of new collaboration projects that stem from the platform. The support, which may include include matchmaking and funding, aims to take projects and research forward to the surrounding society and make them part of the solution against the pandemic.
