Erasmus+ Staff Mobility
The Erasmus programme offers teachers and administrative staff funding for teaching or skills development abroad. It is also possible to invite teachers or staff from European universities as well as a number non-European universities for teaching or training at Uppsala University. The possibilities for skills development/teaching abroad that Erasmus programme are important for the internationalisation of Uppsala University.

The Erasmus Programme
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. It runs from January 2014 through the academic year of 2020/21. Within the part of Erasmus+ called Erasmus+ Mobility, students and staff at universities affiliated with the programme can go for exchange or training abroad.

Erasmus+ Mobility consits of two parts with different rules:
1. The Erasmus Programme within EU/Europe
Participating countries in the programme are the 28 member states of the EU plus Iceland, Turkey, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Liechtenstein and Norway. Switzerland used to be a part of Erasmus, but has been excluded indefinitely.

2. The Erasmus Programme outside of EU
Uppsala University also has agreements with partner universities outside of EU within the so called International Credit Mobility programme, ICM.
