Head of department and manager programmes
Managers with responsibility for staff, finances and operations have the opportunity to attend a head of department or manager programme offered through the Human Resources Division. The aim of the programmes is to develop knowledge and skills that help the participants feel more secure in their role as manager, leader and operations development officer. The focus is on the terms and conditions of the employer role, as well as leadership from different perspectives. The programmes include both internal and external speakers. Theory, reflection and practice are interwoven to increase each participant's learning.

Seminars and workshops
In the spring of 2021, seven training activities will be offered, geared towards heads of departments/other managers along with HR generalists/equivalent: Work shortage management at different levels, Undesirable behaviour, Talent management – a part of activity planning, Co-Determination in the Workplace Act – focus on managerial support, Organisational and social work environment in practice, Recruitment in practice, and Systematic equal opportunities work – active measures in practice. A case-oriented introductory course in law for managers and leaders at Uppsala University (2 days, on-site accommodation).
