Joining a group-area
You must be a member of a group-area to be able to participate within it. There is a few ways to become a member:
- The owner or an administrator adds you as a member
- You, yourself, apply for a membership, and an owner/administrator approves your application
My Groups
If you are a member of a group-area it will show on the Start Page of Medarbetarportalen. Go to mp.uu.se and in the middle column - Groups, your group memberships are listed to group-areas, departments and special groups. Click on Show more to unfold the list of groups you have access to. The cogwheel on the menubar opens the settiings for the listing, here you can add shortcuts to three of your favourite groups. At the bottom of the list the link Finds groups opens the search for groups.
Filter through the list by searching via the box at the top.
The list will display those groups that applies to your search filter. You will see what groups you are a member of and where you can apply for membership for other groups. If you want to know more about a group, click on the groups name and it will take you to their presentation page (where you also have the option to apply for membership).
After you have applied for membership, the groups owner/administrators will receive information about it and they can then approve (or reject) your application.
Leave a group
You can find the button Leave group, which is what you should use when you want to leave a group, under the members page. The button can also be found on the News/About us page (Not applicable for group owners or administrators).
