Information on the processing of personal data in the Staff Portal

The Staff portal is an intranet for employees at Uppsala University, but it is also accessible to students and external users.

The system handles information about people who are active at Uppsala University. Personal information that is processed is name, contact and address information, AKKA ID and information about organizational affiliation.

The purpose of the processing is to be able to provide each operator with relevant information in the portal.

No personal data is transferred to third countries (countries that are not members of the EU or EEA).

Basic personal data such as name and contact details are transferred to the external web for display in the personnel directory. Even information added by the employee himself is transferred to the external web with the employee's consent.

You have the right to request an extract from the register in order to check what information is registered about you. Read more about your rights and how the university handles personal data. The personal data is retained in the The Staff portal as long as the data is considered necessary.

The Staff portal complies with the EU data protection regulation and the international standard GÉANT Data Protection Code of Conduct.
