One-Day Workshop Supported by Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society (CIRCUS), Uppsala University
The future of work is here: employees innovate new services, products, routines, within the bounds of their contract (i.e., intrapreneurship or corporate entrepreneurship), governments encourage and incentivize startups, solo-entrepreneurship, and small businesses. The number of social enterprises and projects is growing, and there is increasing awareness of the need for renewal through entrepreneurship in the public sector. Also, arts and the creative industries are becoming increasingly attuned to the need for entrepreneurship. So far, entrepreneurship (in all its forms) has been looked at from various disciplines separately, which risks overlooking the complexity of the phenomena. Researchers from various disciplines look at entrepreneurship from various angles, with different theories and methodologies.
With the support from the Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society (CIRCUS) at Uppsala University, we would like to invite you to a one-day workshop. The aim is to introduce and connect researchers from different disciplines within Uppsala University and other Swedish universities.
Researchers will present their past and current research work on entrepreneurship, the models and methodology they are using, and discuss obstacles in their ongoing research. The output will be a summary and brainstorming of where researchers from the different disciplines have common interests and where they could potentially interlink.
The workshop will take place at the CIRCUS office in Uppsala, and will run from 10am to 3pm.
Please email your wish to attend to Constanze.email@example.com by November 1. Feel free to suggest others who would be interested in this workshop.
