Call for collaborative projects with Durham
Since 2019 Uppsala University and Durham University have yearly announced common funds to promote and support joint cooperation projects. Apply by 3 May 2023.
Uppsala–Durham Strategic Development Fund opens to both applications for research collaborations as well as collaborations in education. The partnership and common fund builds further on collaborations through the Matariki Network of Universities.
Applications from all fields are welcomed but proposals related to the following fields are encouraged:
- Climate Change
- Energy and Clean Growth
- Heritage and Culture
- Hazard and Risk
- Data Science.
Through a competitive process, Durham and Uppsala Universities will select and fund research projects to the value of € 10,000 – € 20,000.
Successful research projects are expected to result in further applications for third-party funding.
Proposed educational projects are expected to support the development of international learning and teaching at both universities.
- Applicants/PI:s must be academic staff at either Durham or Uppsala Universities at any stage of their careers, and can include faculty from cooperating institutes.
- Additional external partners can be involved, however a strong argument should be made where contribution exceeds 20 percent.
- Applicants must have expertise in the applied projects.
Competition opens on Monday 30 January 2023. Apply by 3 May 2023.
