The main purpose with this support is to facilitate the development of new cross-cutting research projects within Uppsala University and ditto grant applications. The support provided comes in three parts: Funding to be used for salaries within the project group (2-3 researchers per group), administrative support from the offices of Circus, and a mandatory seminar series where project ideas and drafts are discussed and developed. The support is mainly aimed to contribute to the development of new projects that traverse disciplinary, departmental and faculty borders within the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. Projects that include researchers at the two other disciplinary domains at Uppsala University may also be eligible. Circus aim to make the collective set of research groups supported to reflect the width of research present within the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences.
