UIT are tasked with providing support for all employees at the university in need of software on their computer. This includes systematically updating software to current versions and uninstalling outmoded software. This maintenance work is continuous and often takes place automatically via the client management systems that are installed on the majority of the computers at the university.

All major changes in the delivery of software are announced in advance, generally via updated information in the Staff Portal or directly via communications with affected users.
