The University is helping to fund an investment in student sport led by the Curators Committee (the collaborative body for Uppsala’s student nations). As the University is helping to co-fund this investment in student sport, employees may also take part in the activities on offer. We lay out some of these activities below.
Test roundnet or padel
Weather permitting, the outdoor padel courts will be free to use.
Roundnet was created in 1989. It has four players who stand around a net placed roughly 20 cm above the ground and try to get the ball into the net using their hands.
Trial week at Campus 1477
As an employee, you can test the facilities at Campus 1477 for one week free of charge. There is a gym, ball sports and a climbing area. You need to pick up your gym card by 30 September 2023. Applies to anyone who has not previously used Campus 1477.
League games
You also have the opportunity to register a team to play in one of the student leagues available. This autumn’s student series in football, futsal, basketball and volleyball will kick off in October, with the deadline for registration 24 September 2023.
Futsal is a variant of football played indoors with five players, including the goalkeeper.
