The decision to put Skype4Business out of service was taken as early as 2019, but implementation has been postponed due to high workloads.
The service is no longer developed by Microsoft and is expensive to keep in operation. Since April this year, almost 300 e-meetings have been conducted with Skype4Business, a disappearing amount compared to the more than 200,000 e-meetings that took place using Zoom during the same period.
The most frequent users of Skype4Business have been contacted. Employees and other operators with specific needs where Zoom is not sufficient can contact IT Service Desk for information on alternative solutions.
