Microsoft has discovered an unusually severe security flaw related to email management, specifically regarding the Outlook email client. The Division for University IT Services (UIT) in collaboration with the Security Division are working to quickly resolve the problem. However, all employees need to make sure to update their own computer.

Updates from Microsoft are available to address the issue:

  • All client-managed computers have received or will receive a notice that needs to be approved immediately.
  • Users with private or non-client managed computers need to update their computer immediately by running "Windows Update" or "Office Update".
  • Take a minute to update your private computer whan you have tha chance to avoid future issues.
