The Swedish government and the Public Health Agency of Sweden have decided to begin to remove infection control measures on 9 February, with a second phase from 1 April. The decision has been communicated in the form of a press release from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs.

The requirement to keep a distance in public gatherings and to use a face mask on public transport are among the measures removed from 9 February.

The press release states that there should be a gradual return to workplaces after 9 February. Further, universities and other higher education institutions are recommended to gradually return to normal teaching arrangements after 9 February.

The University Management will present a University-wide plan for returning.

Note that anyone who is unwell or suspects they have COVID-19 must still avoid close contact with other people after 9 February.
