Antibiotic resistance – an issue to be solved by the market or by politics?
Uppsala Health Summit 2015 focuses on antibiotic resistance, an increasing threat to health worldwide. Dr Manica Balasegaram from Médecins Sans Frontières is one of the speakers at Uppsala Health Summit and he will also give an open lecture, in the university main building, on 1 June.
Uppsala Health Summit is an international arena for personally invited decision makers, opinion formers and experts to meet in trustful and open dialogue on how we can use innovations and research results to improve global health and healthcare.
In 1999 Médecins Sans Frontières launched the Access Campaign. Its purpose has been to push for access to, and the development of life-saving and life prolonging medicines, diagnostic tests and vaccines for patients in MSF programmes and beyond. Dr Manica Balasegaram is the Executive Director of the Access Campaign.
Dr. Manica Balasegaram will be speaking on the issues and challenges of antibiotic resistance in the contexts where MSF works.
