Operational plan for 2022

The disciplinary domain board has decided on the 2022 operational plan for the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences. The operational plan allocates funding and tasks that the disciplinary domain has received in the University Board’s operational plan to the faculty boards. Although the main focus is on education, research and study programmes at third-cycle level, the plan also delegates certain general tasks to the faculty boards such as:

  • Equal opportunities and gender equality
  • Internationalisation
  • Talent attraction and career systems.

Allocation of visiting researcher funds

The disciplinary domain board decided on the allocation of more than SEK 3 million from the trust for inviting visiting researchers and visiting lecturers to Uppsala University. Normally, this allocation is decided during the spring, but the decision has been delayed by more than one year due to an ongoing inquiry into who is entitled to make decisions about these funds.

The funds are allocated between the faculties in proportion to the amount of direct government funding they received for research and third-cycle education in 2021:

  • Faculty of Educational Sciences: SEK 218,879
  • Faculty Board of Arts: SEK 680,742
  • Faculty Board of Law: SEK 229,061
  • Faculty Board of Social Sciences: SEK 1,330,614
  • Faculty Board of Languages: SEK 484,174
  • Faculty Board of Theology: SEK 190,239

The next dividend from the trust will be made in 2022.
