As proposed, the change in regulations will take effect on 24 November 2020 and will be continuously reviewed in close dialogue with the Public Health Agency of Sweden. The basic assumption is that the proposed limitation will not remain in effect for more than four weeks. However, if the infection situation makes it necessary, the restrictions may be extended over Christmas and the New Year. The bodies to whom the proposal has been referred for consideration have until 15:00 on 19 November to respond. After that, the government will take its decision as soon as possible.
The Vice-Chancellor will consult the Management Council urgently on the consequences for activities at Uppsala University. The Vice-Chancellor will issue a new decision before 24 November.
