In December 2020, the “Uppsala Student Union Student Award for student representation in Eva Åkesson's honour” was launched. The award is presented to a student who has been a student representative at Uppsala University and who is deemed to have made a particularly good contribution.
Students and staff at the Uppsala Student Union's area of activity have the opportunity to nominate for the award. Uppsala Student Union's area of operation is the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. However, there are three exceptions: law, economics and all activities at Campus Gotland that are organised by other student unions.
