From 1 November, the government is allowing a maximum of 300 seated participants at cultural and sporting events in the country. However, the county administrative board in Uppsala has taken a local decision today, 29 October, prohibiting public gatherings and events with more than 50 participants. This decision applies regardless of the place, occasion or infection control measures taken, and includes public gatherings and events held at restaurants and other dining areas. The decision applies until 17 November.

Since the spread of COVID-19 infection is not clearly decreasing in Uppsala County, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, in consultation with the regional authorities, also decided today that the general guidelines currently in effect in Uppsala will be extended to combat the spread of infection. This decision also applies until 17 November.

Eveyone is urged to continue to exercise extra responsibility in following current routines.
