A lack of components (computer chips) that are needed for the production of IT equipment has increased with rising demands for computers due to the fact that many people are working from home during the pandemic. The current situation has also created problems for transports all around the world. Computers that can normally be delivered within a couple of weeks now take up to two or three months to arrive.
University IT Services regrets the situation and urges everyone to plan ahead when ordering IT-equipment. If possible, order the computers and other IT-equipment you need for the start of the autumn semester before midsummer.
