“We want to create a studio in which teachers can obtain technical and pedagogical support before, during and after a recording or live stream. Facilities managers will also be able to use this studio as a model should they wish to build one or more studios on their own campus,” says Mats Cullhed, educational developer at the Unit for Academic Teaching and Learning.

The new studio, which will be set up in Blåsenhus, will contain a document camera, an interactive computer screen, a green screen, a glassboard for writing on while looking into camera and other equipment.

“The new studio will offer a flexible, highquality audio-visual environment suited to a wide range of activities.”

New ways to meet

The University’s organisation as a whole is in need of increased support for the recording and live broadcast of lectures, for Zoom meetings and podcast production, and the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly brought this into focus.

“Our behaviour is changing and we can all benefit from these new ways of meeting, teaching and holding conferences. Many of the working methods that have taken shape during the pandemic will remain with us going forward.”

While no date has yet been set for the opening of the studio, work to prepare the premises in Blåsenhus will begin in earnest in the autumn.
