“The Campus Gotland Board has unanimously decided to proceed to propose to the Vice-Chancellor that he appoint Jenny Helin to the position of Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland. We are extremely satisfied and confident in this decision. I am convinced that Jenny Helin would do a fantastic job for Campus Gotland, Uppsala University as a whole and Gotland,” says Tora Holmberg, chair of the Campus Gotland Board.

The Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland is a 50% position over three years, which can be extended.

The proposal to appoint Jenny Helin as the new Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland is now sent to the Vice-Chancellor. It is the Vice-Chancellor who decide on Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland on the proposal of the Campus Gotland Board.

The process so far

In brief, the process of appointing a new Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland has involved the following steps:

  • A call for applications for the position of Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland was announced, through which people could apply themselves or nominate another person.
  • The Campus Gotland Board appointed a recruitment committee convened by Erik Lindberg.
  • The Gotland Committee submitted comments on the requirements specification for the future Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Based on the submitted applications, nominations, the requirements specification, interviews and discussions, the recruitment committee has selected Jenny Helin as its proposed candidate for the Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland.
  • On Friday 8 September, the recruitment committee presented Jenny Helin as their proposed candidate for the position to the Campus Gotland Board.
  • The candidate was presented to the Campus Gotland Committee on 14 September 2023.

Following the presentation of Jenny Helin the Campus Gotland Board decided on 14 September 2023 to proceed with the proposal to the Vice-Chancellor for decision.
