The new initiative is called the "Idea Exploration Programme." Can you tell us more about it?

“The programme offers a structured pathway for researchers who have ever wondered, 'Could my findings also be applied to this?' It's about taking those initial steps to see if the idea holds up, which involves a closer examination of factors such as needs, target audiences, and existing alternative solutions. Moreover, we focus on presenting an idea in a manner that captivates various stakeholders."

The programme is geared towards researchers, ranging from PhD students to professors. What can they expect to gain from participating?

"As participants, you will systematically and concretely work on your idea so that, by the programme's conclusion, you will know how to proceed. You will also have the opportunity to apply for funding of up to SEK 50,000 to support further idea development.”

How extensive is the programme, and what are the requirements for participants?

“The programme comprises four one-hour seminars. In between these sessions, you'll need to allocate a few hours for independent work. Therefore, participants should be prepared to invest a total of ten hours over four weeks to maximise the programme's benefits. It's important to note that prior experience in idea development is not a prerequisite for participation.“

UU Innovation already offers individual guidance on idea development without the need for application. Why should someone choose this programme?

"With this initiative, we hope to reach researchers who are interested in giving their ideas a go and who, for various reasons, haven't started before. You should opt for this programme if you, like me, need a deadline to kickstart your idea! Additionally, if you thrive in a community setting and enjoy discussions with like-minded individuals. The support you receive during the programme is equivalent to what we offer regularly, but in a more condensed format."
