The purpose of the Charter and Code is to promote the development of an attractive, open and sustainable European labour market for researchers. The principles and requirements are also designed to foster an institutional framework that facilitates the recruitment and retention of outstanding researchers in contexts that promote results and productivity.
Through its application, Uppsala University has committed itself to extensive development efforts that will be evaluated initially after 24 months, and subsequently in 36-month cycles.
As proof that its application has received EU approval, Uppsala University will have the right to use the exclusive seal of quality “HR Excellence in Research” on its own website and in other connections.
