CEMFOR’s purpose is to carry out, promote, support and coordinate research in the areas of integration, racism and racial discrimination. Its overarching goal is to help establish CEMFOR as a leading national and international environment for research in these areas through planning and organising scientific activities in these areas. CEMFOR was established by the Faculty Board of Humanities and Social Sciences in autumn 2016 and is hosted by the Department of Theology.

Role of Director

The Director will be responsible for managing, representing and developing CEMFOR and is the manager for the Head of Research. The role of Director is a three-year appointment at 50 per cent of full-time. The Director must have a PhD (doctoral degree), be conducting research within CEMFOR’s profile areas, and be a permanent employee within the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Role of Head of Research

In consultation with the Board, the Head of Research will build up, develop and lead CEMFOR’s research activities. The role of Head of Research is a three-year appointment at 50 per cent of full-time. The Head of Research must have at least been admitted as a Reader (docent), be conducting research within CEMFOR’s profile areas, and be a permanent employee within the Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences.
