Ten confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported last week, six students and four employees.

“In other respects, this week marked a kind of new trend, in that the Security and Safety Division received no coronavirus-related questions or comments. We see this as a sign of calmness about the coronavirus situation at the University,” says Chief Security Officer Fredrik Blomqvist.

Next week, Campus Gotland will be conducting a targeted initiative to increase the vaccination rate among students and employees on campus. On 21 October, Gotland’s mobile vaccination team will be stationed outside the entrance to Almedalsbiblioteket. Vaccination will be provided as a drop-in service on the spot – no appointment is needed.

When vaccination was last offered in this way, 69 individuals were vaccinated.
