Today the Electoral College assembled to vote on its proposal for Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University.
There were two rounds of voting and the two candidates who qualified for the second round were Coco Norén, Professor of French, and Sharon Rider, Professor of Theoretical Philosophy.

In the second round, Coco Norén received 46 votes and Sharon Rider 18 votes, with one blank vote.

This means that the Electoral College proposes Coco Norén to the Recruitment Committee as new Deputy Vice-Chancellor from 1 January 2021.

The University Board will take a final decision on 12 November.

 

Coco Norén, Professor of French at the Department of Modern Languages. She has been Dean of the Faculty of Languages since 2014 and has just started her third term as dean.
