Functional diversity support
At Uppsala University we work actively to improve accessibility for students, employees, visitors and people who come into contact with the University in various ways.
Support
Employees at Uppsala University in need of support due to functional variation have the right to reasonable support and adaptation measures in their work situation. As an employee or doctoral student with employment and in need of support or adaptation in your work situation, you should first contact your immediate supervisor.
Employees and doctoral students with employment have access to the University's occupational health services Falck.
Doctoral students with or without employment find more information on the webpage: Studies and disabilities.
Försäkringskassan
For adaptations that are not part of the University's responsibility for a good working environment, you or the employer can apply for a financial contribution from Försäkringskassan. Link to Försäkringskassan's webpage about Disability: https://www.forsakringskassan.se/english/disability
Sign language interpreter
If you need a sign language interpreter, contact the Interpreter Center at Uppsala County Council. If you are employed at Campus Gotland, you contact the Interpreter Centre, Region Gotland. If you need a sign language interpreter for further training or conferences, you can apply for a grant for this from the Employment Service.

Accessibility adaptations - urgent needs
The need for accessibility adaptations for individuals with functional variations may arise before general measures have been implemented. Such adaptations usually need to be carried out without delay.
