Nomination Criteria-Independent Distinguished Teaching Award
In addition to the regular nomination criteria 1-9 the following criteria of nomination to The Independent Distinguished Teaching Award 2023.
Theme: Creative Pedagogy
The Independent Distinguished Teaching Award recognises educational achievements in an area chosen for special priority each year. The prioritised area in 2023 is “Creative Pedagogy”.
Nominations should include a clear and specific description of how the nominee’s educational activities have promoted an innovative pedagogy that stimulates and activates student learning. In addition to the regular nomination criteria, to qualify for this year’s theme, nominees must have engaged in educational development and/or teaching/supervision that has developed, implemented or contributed to:
- Creative and innovative learning environments,
- Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches in teaching,
- Collaboration with the external community and connection of teaching with the world of work
