The Segerstedt Reuse Project
The first round of the Segerstedt Reuse Project has now been completed: all the furniture allocated in the spring has been delivered to the receiving departments/equivalent units. Around 1500 pieces of second-hand furniture are left in interim storage at Uppsala Biomedical Centre and are available to departments/equivalent units. As in the first round, departments/equivalent units are asked to submit lists of furniture needed. The needs will be matched with available furniture as far as possible. It is important to note that the furniture is in used condition, has fixed measurements and sizes and it will not be possible to get everything on your needs list. In order to give everyone a chance, rather than ‘first come first served’ the furniture will be divided up throughout the entire organisation as best possible.
Lists of furniture needs should be submitted per department, one list per department. The head of department or equivalent must be informed before the wish list is submitted.
The list of furniture needed should use the attached template, specifying the furniture needed, number of pieces, measurements, colour, type of wood and contact details. The needs will then be matched with the furniture available, after which an offer will be made that you can accept or refuse (Jan–Feb 2018).
Please send the above details to miljo@uadm.uu.se by 21 December 2017.
The furniture available is:
• Storage furniture (roller shutter or sliding door cabinets, bookshelves, drawer units, shelving systems)
• Height adjustable desks (varying size, but mostly longer than 200 cm)
• Tables (side tables, conference tables, smaller meeting tables)
• Chairs (odd chairs and armchairs)
• Lighting (a few desk lamps and standard lamps)
• Carpets
The furniture itself is free but departments/equivalent units are responsible for delivery and pickup. One option is to book with Allt i Transport. Delivery will not be possible before 5 February 2018.
