The recruitment process
Recruiting a new employee is one of the most important strategic decisions and one of the largest investments for an organisation. A good result when recruiting is based upon a quality-assured recruitment process. Co-workers at Uppsala University must be recruited on objective and non-discriminatory grounds. The organisation's needs for skills are expressed through a requirement profile that will guide the entire recruitment process.
Documentation throughout the entire recruitment process is important, as the employer may have to show what steps have been taken in the process in the event of an appeal. All documentation must also be registered. The template for decision documentation can be used as a summarizing document for decision. The document describes the selection process, which qualifications/competence that have been decisive in the selection and the reason for selecting the person/s for employment. The documentation can be supplemented with notes from interviews and references.
