Update your profile page – why and how
It is important to keep your profile page up to date. When someone searches for your name, they will find your profile page in the university directory. It is therefore important that you fill in information about yourself and, preferably, also upload a picture of yourself.
- Log in to the Staff Portal and click on the arrow next to your name at the top right.
- Click on “My profile page” (Min profilsida).
- Click on “Edit profile” (Redigera profil).
Photo
- Bear in mind that the picture you upload on the profile page is part of your presentation as an employee of Uppsala University.
- When you upload a new picture, you will be prompted to crop it in two different ways. The picture will be used not only on your profile page, but also in other contexts on the Staff Portal, where another format is used.
- The picture should be portrait style with a neutral background.
- The picture should be at least 600x400 pixels in size and in portrait format.
- When you upload the picture, you can crop it to choose which part of the picture should be displayed on the profile page.
Brief presentation
Under the heading Brief presentation (Kort presentation), you can write a short description summarising who you are as an employee of Uppsala University.
- You can use maximum 500 characters per language. The text is intended to serve as a brief introduction.
- If possible, please write both a Swedish and an English version of the text, using the tabs above the text box. The correct language version will then be displayed based on the language selected by the page visitor. If you only write in one language, that text will be displayed regardless of which language the page visitor selected.
- The content under Brief presentation can also be found by other employees via the search function.
Keywords
Keywords are displayed under your contact details. They are used by the Staff Portal's search function to rank/show your profile in the hit list.
