Subtitling / captions
Uppsala University has a procured Space360 as supplier of subtitling for videos and films. Subtitling is charged per minute of film. Swedish subtitles of a Swedish speech is 80 kr/min and English subtitling of English speech is 35 kr/min.
Please note that in nearly all use cases (including on Youtube and Studium / Canvas) it is best to provide subtitling as closed captions, i.e. text that is displayed on top of the video and not as part of the actual video image. To get this, check the box SRT-fil when filling out the order form linked below.

Using existing footage
When producing a new video or film, only use clips that are less than two years old if they include people. This is to ensure that the film doesn't look old.
Uppsala University video logotype
Uppsala University has a video logotype which you are welcome to use at the end of the film.
The Uppsala University YouTube channel
Videos aimed at external audiences should be published on the University's Youtube channel. E.g. videos for student recruitment, public lectures and interviews with students, alumni or researchers. All published films must have subtitling in at least the language spoken in the film.
To request that your video be published on the Uppsala University Youtube channel, please do the following:
- Write a title and short description for the video.
- Add relevant links to the end of the description text.
- Send the title and description together with the video file and subtitling file (SRT format) to David Naylor or Marcus Holmqvist.
