You can use the Zoom chat to communicate with people within UU and with people at other universities and companies that uses Zoom. To be available for chat, the Zoom app must be started in your computer or mobile device and you must be logged in to UU Zoom.
The chat function in Zoom is not intended to use between lectures/professors and student. To chat with students, pleas use the chat function in Studium or/and Studentportalen.
Conversations are stored on the server for 30 days, deleting older posts than 30 days, and on your computer for 1 year.
This mean that a newly installed Zoom on a computer can retrieve the last 30 days of chat history from the server. The Zoom app then store chat history locally on the computer for 1 year before olders posts than 1 year are deleted automatically.
Chat is not intended to use as a site or place for documentation, storage or archive. It is important that conversations, or part of, that you want or need to save are transfered to other documentation for further use.
