Installation of eduPrint on a Windows computer
To print to eduPrint from your Windows computer you need to install the eduPrint printer. Follow the instructions below to do this.
Your computer must be connected to Uppsala University's wired network or eduroam when installing and printing with eduPrint.
Adding the eduPrint printer eduPrint-UU
- Select "Run" from the start menu (or press Win+R).
- Insert the complete row of the information below in the box:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /y /in /n "\\edp-uu-prn01.user.uu.se\eduPrint-UU"
- Click "OK".
- Enter your username followed by @user.uu.se (e.g. abcd1234@user.uu.se) and your Password A. Don’t forget to check "Remember my credentials". Click "OK".
The printer is now added to your computer. It might take a short while before the installation starts.
- When the installation is finished you find the printer if you go to "Devices" and then "Printers & scanners" in the Settings window.
- To make eduPrint the default printer, mark it, choose "Manage", and then press "Set as default". If the button "Set as default" does not appear you probably have the check box "Let Windows manage my default printer" ticked.
