Recommended IT equipment
There is a list of recommended IT equipment for clients who would like help with choosing items. Other equipment can be chosen if your business has specific needs or local regulations need to be taken into account. Regardless of what IT equipment is ordered, this must be approved by the head of department or the corresponding financial officer so that it is charged to the correct department, division or unit. This also applies to ergonomically adapted equipment and accessories such as headsets, webcams and the like.
The purpose of a list of recommended IT equipment is to make efficient equipment readily available for all activities at the university. Standardised order flows and inventories may also allow for easier inventory management and faster delivery in the long run. A standardised selection of computers and peripherals increases the changes of supplying high levels of support and service and also helps to simplify inventory and provide better oversight of administrative IT costs for managers and staff as well as IT technicians and support staff.
Ordering IT Equipment
Orders for IT equipment can be placed using a list of recommendations, selecting a computer package or based on your own choice. Orders have to be sent to IT Support by email. Please note that all orders must be approved by the head of department or equivalent financial officer.
