Routines for welcoming incoming international staff
Uppsala University often receives inquiries from staff at universities abroad who want to come here for a short time to take part of and learn from how we work. A visit can be incredibly rewarding and fun, but it usually requires more time and commitment than what one might think. The goal is to make sure that both sides involved have the same expectations on the visit; that we understand what the person wants to learn and bring back from their visit, and that the visitor understands what we have to offer.
Erasmus+ and ICM
Incoming international staff often come as part of an exchange within Erasmus+ or International Credit Mobility (ICM). These visits usually last about a few days to a couple of weeks. Read the application for incoming ICM-staff.
The Unit for International Mobility has worked out routines for how we want to welcome incoming staff within the Erasmus+ and ICM programmes. We are more than happy to share our routines with you. The documents below are free to use as you wish, but note that they should be seen as recommendations. Parts of the documents can also be used for incoming interns.
